Landscapes in Oils, 15th February (10am - 4pm)

£75.00

A full day workshop providing an opportunity to develop your oil painting skills. Working from a photographic reference, you will learn the techniques involved to paint a beautiful British landscape.

The first half of the workshop will cover colour mixing, composition, perspective and quick painting exercises. In the afternoon you will produce a finished landscape painting, applying the techniques you have practiced. The workshop will be underpinned with demonstrations, individual advice and feedback.

Ideal for anyone with some experience of painting with oil paint who would like to simplify their technique and approach to landscape painting.

What you will learn…

  • How to mix a range of colours using a limited palette.

  • A range of mark making techniques to add texture and dynamism to your painting.

  • How to organise your composition and approach to capturing a scene.

  • How to plan your painting effectively for great results every time.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the size of Richard’s studio, workshops are limited to four people. Please see future dates for when the workshop is repeated.
